Pick & Cut-your-own Christmas Trees

This year we will open for tree cutting on Fri. November 25.

Battenfeld Farm - located at 856 Rte 199, Red Hook, NY 845-758-8018. In addition to 80 acres of choose and cut Christmas trees, Battenfeld Christmas Tree Farm offers old fashioned horse-drawn wagon rides, refreshments (cider, chili, soda, hot dogs, etc.), and even weekend visits from Santa (check dates).

All trees are priced at $60 per tree, tax included, and regardless of the type and size chosen.

The farm opens the Friday after Thanksgiving, from 8am-4pm, 7 days a week until December 18th (or until we reach the limit for this year's harvest.)

Bagpipes Visit the Battenfeld Farm

Almost everyone loves the sound of bagpipes, which will again fill the noontime air on the first Saturday of December in the fields of the Battenfeld Farm. Bagpipers will visit the Battenfeld Christmas Tree Farm on:

Battenfeld's offers people the opportunity to choose and cut their own Christmas trees. We will open for the 2010 season on the Friday after Thanksgiving daily from 8am - 4pm until we reach the limit for this year's harvest.

• Location: Located in Red Hook NY, less than two hours north of Manhattan, in the Hudson River Valley, our family farm features an exceptional selection - 80 acres of Christmas trees - in 7 different varieties, and in all shapes and sizes. You will also find many large trees at the farm as well.
• Cash and major credit cards accepted for payment at the farm (tax included in all prices).
• 80 acres of choose-and-cut trees, horse-drawn wagon rides, refreshments, and weekend visits from Santa.
• Improvements have been made to all parking areas and access roads at the farm, upgraded so that they are dust and mud-free.
• Horse-drawn wagon rides and refreshments are available at the Battenfeld Farm on weekends for the enjoyment of our guests.
• Handmade Wreath makers bend over a long workbench strewn with bits of evergreen and all manner of ribbons, bells, berries and bows. Your choice of decoration. Our most popular style is the Natural, with all dried fruits, nuts and cones - nothing artificial.
• Eight large greenhouses full of jewel-colored anemones. They're grown for the wholesale market, but if you arrive early enough, you can buy one of the bouquets sold first come first serve at the back of the attached shop.
• Fresh-cut and cut-your-own Christmas trees are plentiful. Visit our gift shop featuring handmade wreathes. Check the web site or call ahead to determine hours & availability. Ask about saws, baling, carts and rope. The Battenfeld Christmas Tree Farm is located near Red Hook, and reachable from the Red Hook exit of the Taconic State Parkway.
